Allah said: On the Day of Judgment,] every human being will be held in pledge for whatever [evil] he has wrought –save those who shall have attained to righteousness: [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise], they will inquire - of those who were lost in sin: - "What has brought you into hell-fire?" -They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed Surah Al Mudhathir (74) 38 – 43.
And the Messenger of Allah informed us about the Day of Judgment:
The first thing for which the Muslim will be brought to account on the Day of Resurrection will be the prescribed prayers. If they are complete, all well and good, otherwise it will be said: ‘Look and see whether he has any voluntary prayers.’ If he has any voluntary prayers, his prescribed prayers will be completed from his voluntary prayers. Then the same will be done with regard to all his obligatory deeds. Ibn Maja Book 5 Hadith n°623
To this must be added the divine order contained in this verse:
O you who have attained to faith! When you are about to pray, wash your face, and your hands and arms up to the elbows, and pass your [wet] hands lightly over your head, and [wash] your feet up to the ankles. And if you are in a state requiring total ablution, purify yourselves. … Surah Al Maida (5) verse 6.
This booklet has been therefore designed to respond to divine injunctions and prophetic recommendation and to teach the best way to act in the hope of obtaining divine satisfaction on the Day on which there is no doubt.
